Bex Wilkinson

Chairwoman

Bex Wilkinson is a film producer and business entrepreneur.  She supports projects that work towards promoting positive messages of change.  Ms. Wilkinson is Vice President of the Marshall Frankel Foundation and has been a collector of Alex Grey's work, and the work of other important visual artists, and has been a long time supporter of CoSM.  Ms. Wilkinson has served on several Boards including Vermont Studio Center, and the Sun Valley Spiritual Film Festival.  She is an advocate for film, and sits on the Idaho Film Advisory council to promote the film industry in the State.  She has a Master's in Counseling Psychology and majored in Studio Arts from Sarah Lawrence College.  She resides in Sun Valley Idaho where she works and lives with her two children.

Alex Grey

Artist, Co-Founder Chapel of Sacred Mirrors

Alex Grey is best known for his paintings which “X-ray” multiple dimensions of reality, interweaving physical and biological anatomy with psychic and spiritual energies. Grey’s visual meditation on the nature of life and consciousness, the subject of his art, is contained in three books.  His two monographs, Sacred Mirrors and Transfigurations, follow the history of Grey's artistic life.  The Mission of Art reflects on art as a spiritual practice.  Grey’s world renown career includes exhibitions and keynote addresses from Basel, to Tokyo, to Sao Paulo, and features on the Discovery Channel, in Newsweek and Time Magazines.  Grey’s art has been used on albums for the multi-platinum bands Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Tool, and String Cheese Incident.

Allyson Grey

Artist, Co-Founder Chapel of Sacred Mirrors

An accomplished visionary artist, Allyson Grey's paintings invent a symbol system representing chaos, order and secret writing. Co-founder of the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in New York City, is the wife and partner of internationally renown artist, Alex Grey, and the mother of film actress Zena Grey.  Born in 1952, Allyson received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Tufts University in 1976.  She has edited and co-written a dozen books and journals, taught art at Tufts University, the Boston Museum School and at Omega Institute for 17 years.  A leader of a growing community, Allyson has spoken widely at conferences and symposia.  She has received several commissions for long-term and permanent installations of her artwork, which has been exhibited throughout the U.S. with many paintings collected by both corporate and private collections.

Susan Buck

Production/Documentation

Susan Buck brings myriad resources from business and civic experience. She served five years on the board of directors of New York City's Sunnyside Gardens Community Association (est. 1926) organizing, fundraising, recruiting volunteers, contracting with staff and vendors, and overseeing major capital improvement. She also served two years as board secretary/newsletter editor for a network of social clubs chartered by the American Motorcyclist Association.

After a decade in print production, she transitioned to photojournalism and spent twelve years in the motorcycle industry, including four years as editor of the monthly newspaper Thunder Press (1996-2000). In 2003, she received the Motorcycle Riders Foundation's Thomas Paine award for outstanding written advocacy.

Not only an award-winning journalist, her photography combines journalistic and neo-psychedelic artistic styles, resulting in surreal, experiential truth. She has been documenting CoSM since 2006, and taken an active role in all aspects of general management and event production. susanbuck.net

Laurence Singer

Attorney

An attorney and entrepreneur, Laurence Singer has counseled and advised clients in legal matters, business operations and strategic planning.  Receiving a law degree from The Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Singer specializes in entertainment, media, commercial, non-profit, and corporate law, advising companies on business development and operational strategies.

Mr. Singer is the founder and Chairman of Rhythms of the Globe, a new media and Internet company whose focus is evolving lifestyles for the 21st century as reflected in music, art, culture, spirituality and health. Mr. Singer founded Global Beat Media Corporation, a record company that produced and distributed world music. Singer established Lawyers Committee for the Arts in Washington, D.C. and has assisted and advised numerous artistic, humanitarian, educational and cultural organizations. Mr. Singer is the United Nations representative for Global Family for Love and Peace.

Eric Dean

Technologist and Entrepreneur

Eric Dean is an innovative technologist specializing in integrating online business technologies.  Mr. Dean most recently founded an investment firm specializing in purchasing and managing distressed assets. Mr. Dean is also an owner of M.C. Dean, Inc. one of the nation’s top engineering and integration firms.  Mr. Dean supports COSMs online initiatives to build its membership basis, e-commerce storefront, web implementation, and messaging.  Mr. Dean has a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University and a Masters of Science in Telecommunications from University of Maryland.

Joe Saponare

Technology Advisor

Joe Saponare is a technology consultant and entrepreneur. He has practiced technology consulting since 2003 as president of PsiMac LLC, a technology consultancy based in Connecticut. Mr. Saponare is recognized by Apple Inc. as an Apple Certified Technical Coordinator and an Apple Certified Support Professional. He has been an active member in the Apple Consultants Network since 2005.

Mr. Saponare has supported the information technology systems for the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors since 2004. After years of dedicated service and support of the cause, Joe Saponare was honored to join the Board of Directors of CoSM in 2009. Presently, Mr. Saponare leads the development of a modern online presence for CoSM as chair of the Web Development committee.
