DAMANHUR: Temples of Humankind, a new art book
by CoSM Press, finally reveals the five-story underground
maze of sacred halls built inside a mountain, and kept secret
for more than twenty years from even it's closest neighbors.
Begun in 1977 in the Italian Alps, the Temples of DAMANHUR
were inspired by the vision of spiritual leader Oberto Airaudi,
a.k.a. Falco. Artists and artisans excavated and built this
subterranean sacred space, which is at last showcased in
exquisite color photographs throughout this book.

A DAMANHUR Workshop
at Chapel of Sacred Mirrors
Sunday, November 5th, 2006, 1pm - 5pm,
DAMANHUR is an intentional community known for its extraordinary underground complex of temples, each of which are brilliantly decorated with all forms of art. It is a unique ecologically-minded society based upon a commitment to ethical and spiritual values. The Federation of DAMANHUR was founded in 1975 thirty miles north of Turin, in the foothills of the Italian Alps. All one thousand Damanhurian citizens are committed to a culture of peace, transformation, and respect for the environment. DAMANHUR is a new societal model, marrying spirituality and research, solidarity and to art, in order to bring hope to the world.
In this experiential workshop, Esperide Ananas, author and leader in the DAMANHUR community, will share the spiritual, artistic, and social vision for the new culture of peace they have created. Ananas will also transmit the extraordinary intelligent energies of 'Selfica,' a discipline that concentrates and directs vital and intelligent forces not ordinarily available to the human experience. Employing selfic devices produced by citizens of DAMANHUR, participants may expand inner senses in an inner internal voyage beyond normal limits.
