Integral Anatomy: Rare Visions of Human Form
Presentation/Discussion/Slideshow
with Gil Hedley, Ph.D.

Friday Feb. 9th, 7-9:30pm
Admission: $15
Location: Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM)

With slides from the laboratory and engaging discussion, this program is an opportunity to transform your experience of your body and your whole self through an integral, whole person approach to human anatomy.

Gil Hedley's Integral Anatomy at CoSM

Gil Hedley, Ph.D., has taught human anatomical dissection to bodyworkers, dancers, artists and others for 12 years, based upon his whole body, layer by layer approach to human form. He is the founder and director of Somanautics Workshops, Inc., offering a Six-Day Intensive Hands-On Human Dissection Workshop nationwide and abroad. Gil is also the producer/director of The Integral Anatomy Series, a multi-part DVD series that brings the viewer directly into the lab with Gil to explore the wonders of human form and to apply these discoveries in professional practice. Please visit www.gilhedley.com for information on Hedley's schedule and series.

The presentation at CoSM will encompass the interests of folks with no knowledge of anatomy, as well as more experienced explorers of human form. The images of whole body dissections are powerful and sometimes intense though sensitively presented. Participants should be willing to be challenged a bit.

MICROCoSM GALLERY Presents:

OLIVER VERNON

MicroCoSM Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition of new works by New York artist Oliver Vernon.

Opening reception:
Thursday, February 15th, 6-8pm.

Each of Oliver Vernon’s paintings is a uniquely painted world depicting the simultaneity of microcosmic and macrocosmic perspectives, and exploring themes of biology, physics, mythology and ancient visionary wisdom paths. The use of mandalic symmetry in his work comes from years of study and practice of yoga and meditation. Attuned to the eternal, Vernon’s mantric repetition of patterns in his painting becomes an act of spiritual devotion, awakening perceptions of the infinite.... (more)
