Sacred Geometry Workshop
Sunday, April 3 11am - 5 pm
at CoSM $50.00 In the Sacred Geometry workshop at CoSM, John Lloyd will lead the group on an exploration of the creative, and symbolic aspects of geometry, where art, spirituality, and science meet. Through viewing examples of sacred geometry from many cultures, stimulating discussions of the beautiful and the holy, and hands-on drawing exercises designed for all levels of artistic experience, spiritual metaphors will emerge expressed in the patterns of nature.Participants should each bring a compass, a straight edge, and colored pencils or magic markers. Some materials will be available on site.John Lloyd leads Sacred Geometry workshops regularly at CoSM and has taught the subject widely. He has been a painter and a scholar of Sacred Geometry for nearly three decades.
A student of the reknown architect of sacred spaces, Keith Critchlow, John has studied the subject in London and throughout the U.S. John assisted in the creation of the doors of CoSM, depicting the divine proportions of Adam and Eve. |
