Join renowned artist, Alex Grey, for a visionary journey through the anatomy of the Soul. Grey is best known for his paintings of glowing anatomical human bodies, images that "X-ray" the multiple layers of reality and reveal the complex integration of body, mind, soul and spirit.

Grey will discuss his performance work and psychedelic experiences that lead to the paintings which comprise his books Sacred Mirrors,The Mission of Art and Transfigurations.

All forms of artwork can serve as a conduit of bio-energy, the energy that surrounds all living matter.

In this day-long seminar in three parts, Vladimir Maximov will show how artists can utilize the concept of bio-energy to communicate more effectively through their chosen media of art. Artist participants will also learn to work with bio-energy to promote health, vibrancy, and inspiration for themselves, their work, and for viewers of their art.

in the Chapel.

Cancelled for this evening only.

This month we will be looking at the number 12 and the patterns based on this number.   The plan is to draw patterns based on the number twelve from Morocco, India and France and to look at the symbolism around this number. Some of the themes will be: how twelve is part of our experience on earth, twelve hours on a clock, twelve members of a jury, twelve astrological types, the twelve tribes, apostles and so on.

We will draw patterns and construct forms that reflect these themes.

Please bring thoughts and ideas around the number twelve to share with the class, and bring a compass, a straight edge, colored pencils or magic markers, and some paper to draw on. (I will bring extra supplies for those who forget)

And also, please bring an open, playful, and curious mind. As always my hope is that we can be a community for the duration that stimulates discussions on what is beautiful, sacred, and authentic in the world we live in.
