HuDost Performs Mystical Music, Dance and Performance Art at NYC’s Chapel of Sacred Mirrors
New York, NY – The unique trans-global music of HuDost will be performed at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM) on July 2, 2005 at 8:00 PM. CoSM is located at 540 West 27th Street, 4th Floor, New York City, New York.
Uniting the sacred Indian and Turkish musical traditions of Sufism with Western sounds, the music of HuDost fuses lucid power and spiritual practice into an eclectic celebration of harmonies. Guitars, ethnic instruments and percussion are woven into lyrics drawn from ancient Sufi lineages.
HuDost’s recently released CD, ‘In an Eastern Rose Garden’, received the highest, five-star rating with a review from CD Baby. Their work is described as “beautiful atmospheric, warm and resonant songs [that] weave the evocative, exquisite poetry from Muslim mystic poets… Stylistic colors of folk, new age and pop presented with the colorful harmonic vocabulary of the East.” |

Tuition: $315 (does not include travel or accommodations)
For more information and to register use this link.

Visionary artists Alex and Allyson Grey teach painting and drawing from the wellspring of inner visions. This workshop is an opportunity for artists at any level of experience to draw and paint from the sacred ground and the mystic eye. We learn, through experiential processes, lectures and artmaking, to empower the process of bringing inner visions to outer form.
Using guided imagery, meditation, and shamanic ascent, we enter the doors of the imagination to the theater of inner visions. Utilizing basic materials, primarily drawing with graphite and colored pencils, pastels, and watercolors, we commit these visions to paper. We also discuss the qualities of our mystical experiences and divine imagination. Participants range from beginner to professional, and Alex and Allyson spend time with each person to talk about his or her artwork and goals as artists at whatever level of experience.
A list of supplies to bring will be sent upon registration.

AND
Wednesday July 20th, 7-9pm
7/10 with Mz. imani
A basic introduction to the Tools of the Groove 7/20 with Joshua Levin and Michael Wall
Sonic Star-Ways to the Universal Mind Lattice. This consciously co-created sonic laboratory is where rhythmic experiments
in
rewiring the body-mind circuitry for maximum immersion in the transpersonal
vibratory field happens. We will use chant, movement, and plenty of drums
and percussion to cultivate tools for opening the way to a synesthetic
landscape of unlimited potential. Michael and Joshua will set up some experiments and then we will all turn up
the heat and melt together. The goal is for everyone to leave with new tools
for gardening the groove, provoking the Muse, and increasing harmony amongst
all our relations. If we are successful you will find an edge, awaken to a
possibility, catch a new skill, and celebrate in the fountain of your own
divine sound. Thunder, silence, and all that lives between. Please bring other percussion instruments in addition to drums. Anyone play
didj? How about those fabulous crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes,
gongs, crickets with castanets... you know, that sort of thing. |
