2026 Sacred Geometry: Portals with Aloria Weaver & David Heskin

Sacred Geometry is an artistic practice of meditation on cosmic creativity.

Geometric Portals, David Heskin

Unity is fundamental to sacred geometry, as its complexity points to the mythical origins of all of Nature. Geometric constructions create symbolic pathways in the psyche. An infinite variety of cymatic possibilities emerge through drawings, paintings and larger collaborative projects.

With detailed step-by-step progressions that increase in complexity, students gain a greater appreciation for the systems of construction used by ancient geometers, while aiming toward accuracy and insightful awareness through the practice of drawing.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

In this all-new class for 2026, students will gain a working understanding of a variety of geometric principles and their applications in art and design. We will produce numerous drawings alongside a series of engaging hands-on activities.

Each day of the intensive consists of multiple sessions that explore 2 & 3-dimensional forms of sacred geometry as found in nature and in sacred architecture. Daily drawing sessions utilize the ancient geometer’s toolset of a compass and straightedge to analyze and unfold beautiful patterns. A hands-on exploration of 3-dimensional geometric forms will aid in our understanding of the relationship between sacred number and structure.

Evening sessions provide an open studio atmosphere where attendees are invited to integrate the geometric lessons into their own creative work in the medium of their choice. A selection of watercolors will be available to transform the daily drawings into brilliant colorful paintings.

Aloria Weaver’s work is rooted in symbolism, history, mythology and tradition, recognizing originality as a return to the binary origins of life: Nature and Geometry. It is this understanding which enables her to create contemporary art through living traditions.

Weaver earned her master’s degree from The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts in London. There, she was initiated into a number of sacred arts and architectural craft lineages, including Islamic geometry, medieval stained glass painting, gilding, ceramic tile, stone carving and parquetry.

In addition, Weaver holds a remarkable number of traditional lineages, including:

  • Atelier training in the sight-size method of classical realism with alumni of the Florence Academy of Art in Italy
  • Italian egg tempera icon painting and gilding with Fred Wessel, through an unbroken transmission from master to student dating back to Fra Angelico in 1430
  • Russo-Byzantine egg tempera icon painting and gilding with Irina Bradley
  • Mischtechnik (mixed-technique), an indirect process of painting with egg tempera and oil glazes, as taught by Ernst Fuchs, one of the founders of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism

For over 15 years, Aloria has developed and taught curricula for international painting, drawing and geometry courses. Her work has been exhibited and sold internationally in museums, galleries, cultural centers and more. She is currently employed as a stained glass painter for Conrad Schmitt Studios, which was established in 1889.

David Heskin

A lifelong multi-faceted artist defying categorization, David Heskin has produced extensive bodies of work in a variety of styles and mediums integrating many living traditions in his original artwork. His artistic aspiration is to create artifacts and visual experiences that are otherwise unavailable to the human eye, and that speak to the journey of the soul.

His first 15 years as an artist were largely self-guided, after which time he sought out artistic techniques on the brink of being lost. After a decade of studies in a variety of artistic lineages, his original artwork and teaching have become expressions of this creative fusion.

David earned his Master’s Degree in Traditional Arts from The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, a program that emphasizes the universal principles of geometry as a path to cultural and spiritual wisdom.

For more than a decade, David has developed and taught numerous international, technique-driven, painting, drawing and geometry courses. His work has been exhibited in museums, galleries, cultural centers and theaters, and is held in private collections throughout North America, Europe and beyond.
