ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The mandala, Sanskrit for circle of essence, has been used throughout history in various cultures as an aid to meditation, prayer, and journeying within. The empowering and enlightening act of creating these mandala processes will support you to heal, open your heart to unconditional love, manifest and awaken to your Divine self.
Class of 2025: The Mandala: Illuminating the Sacred Circle with Eileen "Rosie" Rosie & Dr. Michael Garger at CoSM
Through meditation, and the holding of strong intentions, we will intuitively receive and illuminate sacred symbols. Using simple Chi Kung movements and principles we will develop body/mind awareness to enhance and direct our energies.
All participants, regardless of artistic ability, will create a variety of luminous mandalas in this joyous, non-competitive workshop . There will be a releasing burning ritual, and periods of silence and Gentile Chi Kung movement.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Join us for this heart opening, empowering weekend of immersing yourself in the sacred circle. Our techniques are simple and straightforward while being deeply focused and profound.
This workshop is appropriate for adults of all ages, and all levels of experience, from all walks of life, including those in need of healing of the body, mind and spirit. No artistic experience or prior knowledge of the mandala is needed.

CoSM and Entheon are open weekly on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 12pm - 6pm when CoSM Grounds close. Tuition includes day passes during open hours to CoSM facilities and grounds for the duration of the workshop.
Participants are welcome to extend their overnight stay at CoSM to the Thursday before and/or the Monday after the workshop.

Eileen "Rosie" Rose & Dr. Michael Garger
Eileen M. Rose (aka “Rosie”) holds a Masters Degree in Art Education from Brooklyn College, is a Certified Mandala Facilitator and the co-author of Create Your Own Sand Mandala: for Meditation, Healing and Prayer. She has been creating mandalas and teaching mandala healing processes for over 35 years to various groups. Rosie is a visionary artist, photographer, percussionist, and a veteran art educator with years of experience. Along with her husband Michael Garger she co-facilitates communal sand mandalas at various CoSM events and classes.
Dr. Michael F. Garger has practiced Chiropractic for 35 years and teaches Taoist Esoteric Yoga and Tai Chi and a variety of health related subjects with the emphasis on helping people to understand and apply laws of nature in their lives for optimal wellbeing and creative ability. As an instructor of mandala drawing and meditation workshops, certified by Dr. Judith Cornell, he has for the past 30 years facilitated healing and self-realization retreats, communal sand mandalas and classes along with his wife, Eileen Rose.

MATERIALS:
Mandalas will be drawn with colored pencils and gel pens on black or colored paper, including the use of compass and straightedge.
All materials are provided with tuition. A welcome letter will be sent after registration with more details about materials.
CoSM WORKSHOP SETTING:
Class sessions will take place in the MAGI Art Lab (Mystic Artists Guild International).
The Grey House, CoSM's Visionary Victorian guest house, provides accommodations for all participants.
Residing onsite together is encouraged as part of this immersively creative weekend, providing maximum benefit & enrichment. Accommodations in Grey House are offered in a variety of economies, in addition to the workshop fee.
Participants are welcome to extend their overnight stay at CoSM to the Thursday before and/or the Monday after the workshop.
WORKSHOP AMMENITIES
Available for the duration of the 3 day workshop:
- Healthy meals by CoSM chefs, starting with dinner on Friday and ending with lunch on Sunday

- Yoga mats for self guided practice

- The Wisdom Trail offers a contemplative walk through the CoSM woods, including a labyrinth, outdoor sculptural installations by visionary artists
Participation also includes Day Admission to CoSM: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 12pm - 6pm:
- Access to Facilities, grounds and self-touring Entheon
- Students are welcome to experience Entheon and Grey House Galleries, including both CoSM Shop & Entheon Shop.
- Beverages and light fare will be available for purchase in the Mushroom Cafe

The Grey House, CoSM’s Visionary Victorian guest house, offers accommodations for all participants. Works of art by Alex Grey, Allyson Grey and accomplished artists of the international Visionary Art community are featured throughout the guest rooms and common spaces of the Grey House.
