Full Moon Workshop - Sketchbooking Spiritual Allies with Stefan Lucas Allen
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
In this class participants will utilize their sketchbooks as multidimensional recording devices by combining drawing fundamentals, breathwork and guided meditation. Following an inspiration-presentation, Stefan will demo some drawing techniques to help participants depict their visions realistically.

Following the demonstration, participants will learn a particular breathing pattern to calm the nerves while opening the senses. This leads straight into an inner journey accompanied by the medicine drum, for the purposes of making contact with a spiritual ally on the inner planes.

The final portion of class will allow time for participants to sketch their findings and share their results with the group.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Stefan Lucas Allen
Stefan Lucas Allen was born in San Diego, California in 1997, and at the age of three he moved to upstate New York, where he continues to live today. Drawing, painting, and meditation have always been among his highest priorities. A lifelong seeker of spiritual truth, this pursuit has remained the driving force behind all of his life’s work. His childhood was spent filling sketchbooks, daydreaming, and closely observing nature. During his teenage years, he developed an interest in psychedelics, lucid dreaming, and meditation, channeling these explorations into artistic expression with pencils and paintbrushes.

Crucible of the Visionary, by Stefan Lucas Allen
Stefan then attended a few semesters at the Maryland Institute College of Art, eventually leading him to the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art (VAVA) in Vienna, Austria where he studied for five years. During this time, he became immersed in both the long-standing rich culture of Viennese art and the dynamic teachings of Visionary Artist mentors at VAVA. He later became an integral part of the VAVA community, serving as both studio monitor and figure drawing instructor. Beyond VAVA, Stefan dedicated his time to a breathwork meditation practice called Kriya Jyoti Tantra, particularly the Cosmic Cobra Breath technique. This practice led to profound spiritual transformation, turning him from a spiritual seeker into a spiritual finder. Kriya Jyoti Tantra & its lineage of transcendent yogis are an essential driving force in every aspect of his life, including his artwork.
Currently, Stefan lives a simple life in Bloomfield, NY with his beloved, Alexandra, their cat Rowley, and daughter Kynareth. His time is devoted to painting, meditation, and teaching both art and Kriya Yoga.
