Valentine’s Brunch & Talk on Sacred Couples with Alex Grey & Allyson Grey
Valentine’s Brunch & Talk on Sacred Couples
with Alex Grey & Allyson Grey
Sunday, February 15, 2025
To honor Valentine’s Day, join Alex Grey and Allyson Grey for a special Valentine’s Brunch & illustrated, interactive discussion on Sacred Couples, held in the Grey House Dining Hall at CoSM.
Guests will enjoy a buffet brunch with vegan and non-vegan options and mimosas, followed by an intimate conversation exploring what allows love to endure across time. Couples and singles alike are warmly welcome to share this nourishing and reflective experience.

Statistics suggest that nearly 50% of marriages end in divorce. In this gathering, we turn our attention to the other 50%—those who seek the recipe for relationships that could last a lifetime, who choose their partners consciously, and who cultivate enduring love. Together, we will explore the evolutionary nature of successful relationships and how biological strategies such as adaptability, symbiosis, and “survival of the fittest” apply to relationship choices and sustainability.
Engage in a thoughtful discussion on the anatomy of a healthy disagreement and whether principles such as reciprocal altruism can form a sacred love pact that withstands the test of time.
Discover how transformative bonds can activate a spiritual and creative life, opening a universe of possibilities otherwise unimaginable. Whether you are single or in partnership, this experience offers a supportive community space to deepen your understanding of the positive aspects of relationships and to celebrate the abiding power of love.

Who are Alex Grey & Allyson Grey?

Alex Grey, world-renowned artist, poet, and author, is best loved for his paintings which portray multiple dimensions of reality, interweaving biological anatomy with psychic and spiritual energies. Alex's books, Sacred Mirrors, The Mission of Art, Transfigurations and Art Psalms trace the development of his work and the mystical experiences that shaped his spiritual, artistic life. Alex’s most recent monograph, Net of Being, addresses how his art is evolving the cultural body through icons of interconnectedness. alexgrey.com
Allyson Grey is an artist and social sculptor. Her paintings have been exhibited and sold internationally. Grey is a community leader with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Tufts University. Allyson has edited and co-authored over a dozen books and journals, lectured widely, and has been an educator and muse to artists for over 40 years. The symbol system in her abstract, labor intensive paintings represent an essentialized world-view that includes the concepts of chaos, order and secret writing. Allysongrey.com
Together, the Grey’s co-founded the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, CoSM, a spiritual creative retreat center in the Hudson Valley of New York. On the forefront of a movement in which painters join musicians on stage, the Grey’s have painted together live before tens of thousands of dancing young people at New York Broadway theaters, at sold-out festivals and arenas in dozens of international cities across five continents. As long-time advocates of “cognitive liberty,” a growing international “sacramental culture” has embraced the Grey’s as important mapmakers and spokespersons for the visionary realm. The Grey’s, with a dedicated and evolving team, have created CoSM, an interspiritual Art Church and Entheon, a Visionary Art sanctuary at CoSM. cosm.org
