Sacred art and devotional music have long served as pathways for expressing the deepest dimensions of the human spirit. Through image, song, and shared practice, they invite us into experiences of beauty, contemplation, and connection that transcend words alone. Rooted in the bhakti tradition, these timeless forms of expression continue to inspire communities around the world through their celebration of love, devotion, and the sacred.
For nearly six decades, Her Grace Syamarani Dasi has helped shape the global landscape of devotional Indian art, creating more than 300 original paintings that have touched millions of hearts worldwide. Her artwork has appeared in books with a combined circulation exceeding 550 million copies and has been translated into more than 80 languages. Honored by India's highest cultural institutions for her contributions to India's spiritual and artistic heritage, Syamarani is also one of the few female gurus in her lineage, dedicating her life to preserving and sharing the traditions of bhakti through art, teaching, and community.
This Visionary Salon begins with devotional Kirtan led by Malini dasi and friends from the Serve Love Ashram, creating a space for participants to gather through music and shared spiritual practice. Following the Kirtan, Syamarani Dasi will offer reflections on the relationship between sacred art and devotion, drawing from her lifetime of artistic practice and spiritual teaching. The afternoon concludes with an audience Q&A, providing an opportunity for dialogue, reflection, and community.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Spend an afternoon exploring the relationship between sacred art, devotional music, and the path of bhakti through the guidance of one of the world's most accomplished devotional artists and teachers.
The program opens with live Kirtan led by Malini dasi and friends from the Serve Love Ashram, inviting participants into a shared experience of music, mantra, and community. Following the Kirtan, Syamarani Dasi will share reflections drawn from nearly six decades of creating devotional art and teaching the traditions of bhakti-yoga, exploring how sacred imagery can become a vehicle for spiritual practice and devotion.
Following the talk, participants will have the opportunity to engage with Syamarani during an audience Q&A, creating space for conversation and deeper exploration.

Her Grace Syamarani Dasi
For nearly six decades, Her Grace Syamarani Dasi has helped shape the global landscape of devotional Indian art, creating more than 300 original paintings that have touched millions of hearts worldwide. Her artwork has been featured in books with a combined circulation of over 550 million copies, having been translated into more than 80 languages—making her one of the most widely published devotional artists in the world. Honored by India’s highest cultural institutions for her contributions to the nation’s spiritual and artistic legacy.
Syamarani Dasi is also one of the few female gurus in her lineage. As both an artist and spiritual teacher, she continues to pioneer a sacred visual language that bridges East and West, blending deep theological insight with heartfelt expression. She is the founder of Sacred Vedic Arts in Miami, where she mentors artists, guides spiritual seekers, and shares the timeless culture of bhakti-yoga through exhibitions, workshops, and community outreach.
Alex Grey & Allyson Grey
Alex Grey, world-renowned artist, poet, and author, is best loved for his paintings which portray multiple dimensions of reality, interweaving biological anatomy with psychic and spiritual energies. His books, Sacred Mirrors, The Mission of Art, Transfigurations, and Art Psalms, trace the development of his work and mystical experiences that shaped his spiritual artistic life. Allyson Grey is an artist whose paintings have been exhibited and sold internationally. Co-founder of the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, Grey is a community leader with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Tufts University. She has edited and co-authored over a dozen books and journals, lectured widely, and has been an educator and muse to artists for over 30 years. The symbol system in her paintings represent an essentialized world-view comprised of chaos, order and secret writing. Together, the Grey’s co-founded the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, CoSM, a spiritual creative retreat center in the Hudson Valley of New York. On the forefront of a movement in which painters join musicians on stage, the Grey’s painted together live before tens of thousands of folks at New York Broadway theaters, at sold-out festivals and arenas in dozens of international cities across five continents. CoSM is 65 miles north of New York City and accessible by Metro North Train leaving hourly from Grand Central Station.
