Securities or stocks that have been held more than one year and have increased in value can be immensely effective gifts.

Your contribution may be tax deductible within the limits prescribed by law. You are entitled to deductions for the fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift, plus you pay zero tax on the capital gain value of the gift shares. Consult your tax advisor to discuss how this strategy can best benefit you and the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors.

• Your name

• The name of the stock

• The number of shares being donated

• The financial institution that is transferring the stock

• The gift designation

To donate stocks via wire transfer, inform your broker/banker of your intention in writing. Please provide them with the following information:

• The name of the stock

• The number of shares or certificates you wish to donate

• The gift designation
